Frequently asked questions
How long does an assessment take?
Assessment orders stay open all year. Your photographs remain valid for 60 days after payment, so you can order now and send images whenever the light is right.
How much does an assessment cost?
Single assessments run €45–65 per piece depending on complexity; the multi-item package runs €120–180. The exact figure for your piece is confirmed with the feasibility check, before payment.
Do I need to send the stone itself?
No. Everything rests on photographs — the piece stays with you. If photographs cannot support an assessment, we tell you during the free feasibility check.
When do I pay?
We will send one reminder email if your photographs have not arrived after 30 days, and a final one at 50 days. After 60 days the order can be refunded on request.— After the feasibility check, before the assessment work starts. Nothing is taken earlier, and nothing extra is added later.
Can I get a formal valuation or certificate?
Not from us, and we say so up front. Assessments describe visible features and likely stone types; valuations and certificates need a face-to-face lab. The report names the right next step when that applies.
